Glomerulus (yellow) is a tuft of tangled capillaries nested inside Bowman's capsule. The outer (parietal) layer of Bowman's capsule has been removed from this renal corpuscle.
Podocytes - highly modified cells of the inner (visceral layer) of Bowman's capsule that surround capillaries in the glomerulus
Their complex morphology can not be seen at this low magnification
Glomerular Capillaries - the afferent arteriole enters and the efferent arteriole exits the glomerulus at the vascular pole
Not visible because their covered by the podocytes
