Nerve Fibers (orange; #1 and #2) - axons contain neurofilaments, microtubules, synaptic vesicles, and mitochondria.
Schwann Cells (tan) - completely (or partially) ensheath multiple nonyelinated axons in cytoplasmic invaginations. (The Schwann cell body that encloses the axons of the lower right nerve is not visible).
Basal Lamina (purple) - surrounds the outer surface of Schwann cells.
Endonerium - connective tissue that surrounds Schwann cells
Collagen Fibrils - surround the nerve fibers (cross-sections)
Perineurim - connective tissue that surrounds bundles (or fascicles) of nerve fibers and can extend into single nerve fibers as seen here
One or more layers of squamous cells
Tight junctions forms a diffusion barrier that maintains the enviroment of ensheated nerve fibers.
