Chapter 19 - Male Reproductive System
The male reproductive system includes the testes, ducts, sex glands (seminal vesicle and prostate), and the penis. These organs work to together to produce spermatozoa and the other components of semen.
Testis
Testis is an organ that produces spermatozoa and androgens (mostly testosterone).

Epididymis and Ductus Deferens (vas deferens)
The spermatoza leave the testis and enter the epididymis. It is a single, coiled duct that is continuous with the ductus deferens.

Ductus deferens is a thick walled muscular tube connecting the epididymis with the prostate.
Seminal Vesicle
The seminal vesicle is an unbranched coiled tubular gland that secretes a mucoid substance high in fructose (for sperm nutrition).
Prostate
The prostate is a branchd tubular gland that adds secretions to the sperm during ejaculation of semen.
Penis
The penis is composed of three cylindrical bodies of errectile tissue surrounding the urethra.
